Digicel MyCash is Prepaid Mastercard and mobile app enabling customers in the United States to deposit, send, and spend money more conveniently and directly from their card linked to their mobile phones. To gain access to the full suite of Digicel MyCash services, you must open a Digicel MyCash account. When you open a Digicel MyCash account, you will receive a Digicel MyCash Prepaid Mastercard issued by Metropolitan Commercial Bank (member FDIC) and you will have complete access to other Digicel MyCash services using the Digicel MyCash mobile app.
With your Digicel My Cash Prepaid Mastercard and mobile app you can:
The Digicel MyCash Prepaid Mastercard and mobile app is a bank-sponsored product by a New York State chartered bank, Metropolitan Commercial Bank (member FDIC). Your Digicel MyCash Prepaid Mastercard is FDIC insured and has been issued to you by Metropolitan Commercial Bank (“MCB”). MCB is responsible for affecting the settlement of all transactions that may arise as result of you using your Digicel MyCash Prepaid Mastercard using the Digicel MyCash services mobile app.
It is free ($0) to open a Digicel My Cash account and there is $0 cost to you to receive a Digicel My Cash Prepaid Mastercard. There are fees associated with the usage of the card, international money transfers, and general account maintenance. The maximum allowable account balance at any given time is US$2,999. Daily limits apply to the amount of money you can add to your account which may affect your account balance. In addition to the above money limits, there are also limits to the number of times you are allowed to withdraw cash at an ATM; make purchases with your card; and transfer money from your account. Download the Digicel MyCash mobile app from Google Play or Apple App store onto your smartphone device. Open up the app and proceed to register for your account and Prepaid card. For assistance, you can also call customer service at 1-888-880-6842.

Digicel MyCash will verify your mobile phone number and send a SMS text message to your phone with a 6-digit verification code. Enter the 6-digit verification code into the required field in the app to proceed with registration. If you don’t receive the verification code, please check your cellular carrier’s terms and condition to ensure your phone plan supports Premium SMS & free short code messaging.)
Your Digicel My Cash Mastercard Prepaid card will be mailed directly to your registered address once you have successfully completed the registration and account opening process.
U.S. federal law requires us to collect information to verify account holder’s identity before a Digicel MyCash account can be opened. The information you provide is strictly confidential and will not be shared or disclosed without your approval ( unless required by law) other than to persons to whom disclosure must be made for purposes of processing your transactions. These persons are bound by confidentiality agreements when handling your information.
Once you have received your Digicel MyCash Prepaid Mastercard, you can activate your card and set your Card PIN directly from the Digicel MyCash mobile app. To activate the card, log into your Digicel MyCash account on the app and provide the following information:

Yes. You can deactivate your card at any time by logging into your Digicel MyCash account and following the instructions on card deactivation. Deactivation of the card will block you and any person in possession of the card from using the card to make transactions. If you would like to re-activate your card after deactivating the card, you may do so directly from the mobile app. If you think your card has been compromised or lost, you should deactivate the card immediately and contact customer service at 1-888-880-6842 to request a new card.
Your Digicel MyCash account is secure and the funds in the account are insured to such amounts as are authorized by FDIC. The security of your Digicel MyCash account is very important to us. While we have built (and will continue to work hard on building) many security measures to safeguard all Digicel MyCash accounts, we also recognize that regardless of our efforts, security breaches do happen that may not be in our control. In such instance, we shall make all efforts to ensure your money is secure. Please review your Cardholder Agreement carefully as your rights and our liabilities are outlined and subject to the terms and conditions of that Agreement.
Access to your Digicel MyCash account is secure and can only be accessed with your Digicel MyCash account password. To prevent another person from accessing your account, never share your Digicel MyCash account password with anyone.
If you think your card has been compromised or lost, you should deactivate the card immediately and contact customer service at 1-888-880-6842 to request a new card.
If you see any transaction in your account that you did not authorize, please contact customer service immediately at 1-888-880-6842 to report on unauthorized transaction.
While many issues can be resolved via the Digicel MyCash mobile app, you can always contact customer service at 1-888-880-6842 for support. Customer Service is provided by Boom Financial, the designated Program manager of Digicel MyCash service App and a majority-owned entity of the Digicel Group.
Your Digicel MyCash account has an account maintenance fee of $2 per month. $2 will be deducted from your account at the end of the 30-day cycle. (Example: if you sign up on April 1st, you will not be charged $2 until May 1st.) You must maintain adequate funding in your account to avoid the account from going into a negative balance. When your account has a negative balance, your account will be blocked from making transactions until you load funds into the account and the balance becomes positive. Your Digicel My Cash Prepaid Mastercard is a prepaid product and does not charge interest on the account.
Your Digicel My Cash Prepaid Mastercard is a prepaid product and is not an interest bearing account such as a saving account or depository account.
When you request a replacement card (standard delivery 7-10 business days), you will be charged a $5 fee, and the fee will be deducted from your account. U.S. federal law requires us to collect information to verify every account holder’s identity before a Digicel MyCash account can be opened. Having an ID tied to your account helps to safeguard your account. In addition, we also use your Identification card to validate all of your personal information and to make sure all the information has been entered correctly.
If you think you have made an error in sending money to the wrong individual or would like to cancel a money transfer, you must contact customer service at 1-888-880-6842 immediately and before its withdrawn or used by the recipient. We will try to assist in cancelling the transaction and return the funds to your account. We are unable to do anything if the funds sent in error to the unintended recipient have already been removed or used.
You can only have one Digicel MyCash account in your name. Each Digicel MyCash account is associated with only one SSN or ITIN, so each person can only have one account.
You can only register for a Digicel MyCash account if you have a mobile phone number. Your mobile phone number is very important as it allows us to uniquely identify you as the account holder and maintain the security of your account.
You can only register and have one Digicel My Cash account in your name.
You need to be at least 18 years old to open a Digicel My Cash account.
The Digicel My Cash app operates on devices with Android 4.1 and Apple (iOS) 8.1 or later versions. The Digicel My Cash app is available in both the Apple App and Google Play Stores.
Yes, you can send money to any user if you know the user’s mobile phone number, the recipient must have already successfully completed the Digicel My Cash registration and have linked his/her Digicel My Cash Prepaid Mastercard before he/she can access the funds received.
Digicel My Cash Prepaid Mastercard is a prepaid product and does not require your credit history.
You can check your account balance and view your transaction history by loging into your Digicel My Cash account on the mobile app at no cost. You are also able to check balances via ATM but fees may apply so we encourage you to view your balance in the app.
You can add funds to your account by the following methods:
You can make purchases online and at any retail location accepting Mastercard worldwide. You can withdraw money at any ATM worldwide bearing the Cirrus logo or at any 50,000 AllPoint network ATMs in North America.
All your account information including account balance and transaction history is available on the Digicel MyCash mobile app. You may request monthly statements to be sent to you by contacting Customer Service at 1-888-880-6842.
Your Digicel My Cash Prepaid Mastercard is valid for 2 years as indicated by the expiration date on the front of the card. When the card expires, we will automatically send you a new card with no cost ($0) to you.
Your Digicel My Cash Prepaid Mastercard is a prepaid product and does not provide for credit or extend credit. You can only spend what you have funded on your account.
If you do not make or have any transaction on your account for 90 days, the account is considered to be inactive or dormant. If your account is dormant, we reserve the right to close your Digicel My Cash account, deactivate your Digicel My Cash prepaid card, and refund you your money. Please carefully review your Cardholder Agreement as terms and conditions are outlined for the use of the Digicel My Cash Prepaid Mastercard product.
While you can send money to any user if you know their mobile phone number, the recipient must successfully complete Digicel My Cash registration and have a Digicel My Cash Prepaid Mastercard account before he/she can access the funds received.
For your account security, we advise that you and only you should be in possession of your Digicel My Cash prepaid card at all times, including when loading cash at a retail location. Any direct deposits setup should be in the name of the account holder and not in the name of family or friends.
You can make purchases wherever Mastercard is accepted and withdraw cash at any ATM terminal bearing the Cirrus logo or the AllPoint logo.
To close your account and get a refund of your account balance, you need to take the following steps:
Please note: there an administrative fee of $2 to close your account. $2 will be deducted from your account balance and the remaining amount of your balance will be refunded to you in form of a check. We will mail you the refund check to the registered address we have on record and you should expect to receive your refund within 10 business days from the date you submitted the request. When your transaction exceeds a daily load limit, whether it is the total dollar amount that you have loaded or the total number of times you have loaded within a 24-hour period, the load will fail and the funds cannot be credited to your account. Yes. When you call our customer service and support center, our agents will need to access your account information in order to better assist you. Agents are permitted to only view your account information. Agents cannot make transactions on your behalf or perform any function affecting your account balance. For the security of your account, all actions taken by the agent during the call are documented and recorded.
